Princess Anne has spoken about one of the most memorable moments of her sporting life as the 50th anniversary of the Montreal Olympics was marked.
The Princess Royal attended a special gathering with fellow British athletes who competed at the 1976 Olympic Games. The event brought together competitors from both the Summer and Winter Games to reflect on their experiences and achievements from half a century ago.
Princess Anne made history in Montreal as the first member of the Royal Family to compete in the Olympic Games. She represented Great Britain in the equestrian three-day event aboard Goodwill, a horse owned by her mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
A Fall That Changed Her Olympic Experience
During the demanding cross-country phase of the competition, Princess Anne suffered a concussion after falling from Goodwill when the horse became stuck in mud while attempting a jump.
