Each November, the town of Golegã in Portugal transforms into a vibrant celebration of the Lusitano horse. Known as the Golegã National Horse Fair or Feira Nacional do Cavalo, this ten-day event is the centrepiece of Portuguese equestrian tradition, drawing riders, breeders, and horse enthusiasts from across the globe.

Held during the Feast of St. Martin, the fair combines world-class Lusitano breed shows, classical dressage, working equitation, and traditional parades. Riders don classic Portuguese attire, and the streets come alive with carriages, food stalls, music, and the unmistakable rhythm of hooves on cobblestones.
